What the math says

Twelve months at $179.40 is $14.95 a month. One month at $24.95, repeated for a year, would be $299.40. The yearly plan is therefore about $120 cheaper, a 40% discount, but only if you actually stay a full year. Since a free account lets you browse and watch live shows but not send direct messages (per DatingScout), most people should buy the one-month plan first and only commit to a longer one if the local pool looks active. Our Heated Affairs review covers the pool and the 70/30 gender split.

What you get free and what Gold adds

DatingScout lists these as free: editing your profile, uploading photos and videos, a 200-member Hotlist, the instant messenger and watching live model shows. Gold adds full profiles, full-size photos and videos, advanced search, a 1,000-member Hotlist, direct messages, friend requests and flirts, contest votes and the Sex Academy. Extras such as search highlight, adult movies and private chat rooms are paid separately, and credits are the site's currency for live cam interaction.

How to cancel Heated Affairs

DatingScout describes cancelling as turning off auto-renew. Log in, hover over "My Stuff", click "My Account", open "Manage My Accounts", then "Billing History & Credit Card Info", and switch the product status to "Off". A few points from the same source:

  • Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
  • Auto-renew is on by default, and the notice period for opting out is one day.
  • Subscriptions renew at the non-discounted price after the term ends, except yearly memberships.
  • Credits do not expire.
  • DatingScout lists a 3-day window to ask for a refund, and says you will usually get the full amount back. That is a third-party summary, so check the official terms.

Turn auto-renew off on the day you sign up. You keep access until the paid term ends, and it removes the risk of forgetting.
